about us
The Carer Project was established when carers Joyce Woody and Lisa O'Malley formalised their efforts advocating and supporting families in the child protection sphere. In addition to providing information and individual support to foster, kinship, grandparent, LTG and informal carers, The Carer Project respectfully engages with executives, policy makes, politicians and more to enable carer and children's voices to be heard and practices improved to enforce child-focused decision making at all levels.

The Carer Project is proud to offer a strong online community for carers, ably administered by Joyce and Kelly Illingworth. Carers can join here

The Carer Project receives no funding and is completely driven by volunteers who are also busy caring and advocating for children and young people. We welcome all those interested in helping improve the system and outcomes for all children and young people in care.
